London Fashion Week: A Comprehensive Guide to Fall/Winter 2026

London Fashion Week (LFW) is back with a bang! The highly anticipated event, which marks the start of the Fall/Winter 2026 season, is set to be bigger and better than ever before. With a larger schedule and a renewed focus on international visibility, the British Fashion Council (BFC) is determined to rebuild London's fashion scene and showcase its diverse talent.

A Momentum of Confidence

The second LFW under the leadership of CEO Laura Weir promises to be a significant step forward. With 90 designers and organizations, including 41 runway shows and 20 presentations, the official schedule marks an impressive 11% year-on-year increase in brand presence. The BFC's efforts to attract international attention are evident, with a 36% increase in press attendance and a 17% rise in buyers.

Expanding Horizons

The expanded size of LFW is evident from day one. Thursday's kick-off, traditionally a lighter prelude to the week, opens with a full slate of presentations and shows, signaling London's efforts to rebuild density. The BFC has waived fees to reduce barriers to entry and doubled its investment in its international guest program, inviting global attention to the British capital.

A Broader Ecosystem

The wider ecosystem is also broadening. A new designer showcase at 180 Strand will feature 11 designers, including Ahluwalia, Aaron Esh, and Nicholas Daley, who have previously taken part in the BFC's NewGen incubation program. This initiative aims to create stronger connections between emerging talent, press, and buyers, fostering a supportive community.

Familiar Names and New Talent

While familiar names like Erdem, Simone Rocha, and Richard Quinn remain fixtures, showing on Sunday, several brands make their return to the schedule. Burberry will close LFW on Monday evening, as usual. Joseph, after a decade-long hiatus, returns to the runway on Friday with its first show since hiring creative director Mario Arena in November 2024. Chet Lo returns on Saturday after a break last season to host a dinner.

Emerging talent remains central to London's identity. This season's London-based newcomers include minimalist womenswear label Selasi, women's tailoring brand Liberowe, and contemporary designer Yuhan Ao, who draws inspiration from her grandmother's work in a linen textile factory in China. Indian luxury brand Raw Mango, known for its saris and lehengas, also joins the schedule.

A Community of Support

The BFC's initiatives extend beyond the runway, with retail and cultural activations running alongside shows. From Selfridges' in-store LFW edit and a Dover Street Market pop-up featuring jewelry from the BFC Foundation and member brands, to an H&M Studio townhouse takeover and an event by BFC patrons Topshop and John Lewis, hosted at Piccadilly Lights, there's something for everyone.

A Global Impact

'London has always shaped the cultural conversation,' says Weir. 'By bringing a wider and more influential range of international voices to the city, we're ensuring that London Fashion Week's global impact continues to grow both commercially and culturally.'

Beyond the Runway

Evening programming spans dinners from JW Anderson, Labrum London, Di Petsa, the BFC in partnership with the British Film Institute (ahead of the Baftas on Sunday), and more. Knwls, which showed in Milan last season, is hosting a pop-up for its community, while David Koma is hosting a cocktail event.

A Fashion Week to Remember

With a renewed focus on momentum, confidence, and international visibility, London Fashion Week 2026 promises to be a fashion week to remember. From established names to emerging talent, the event is set to showcase the best of British fashion and inspire the world.
