Get ready for a game-changer in the SUV market! The renowned GWM's Haval Raptor is about to drop a bombshell with its new variant, the Haval Raptor Plus (or V7 Plus), offering a spacious seven-seat option. But wait, there's more to this story than meets the eye.
The Chinese MIIT reveals that this new SUV will be a plug-in hybrid, building upon the success of the 2026 Haval Raptor. While it maintains the sleek design of its predecessor, the Plus variant boasts some subtle yet stylish updates. Imagine a refreshed front fascia with a solid white panel beneath the brand logo, now in a more compact font. But here's where it gets intriguing: the rear remains largely unchanged, with the longitudinal taillights keeping their iconic look.
And now, the numbers. The Haval Raptor Plus is longer, with an extended wheelbase of 2850 mm (versus the current 2738 mm). Its dimensions are impressive: a length of 4912 mm or 4792 mm (with the rear spare tire), a width of 1950 mm, and a height of 1886 mm or 1905 mm. Compare that to the 2026 Haval Raptor's 4800 mm or 4680 mm length, and you'll appreciate the extra space.
Under the hood, the powerhouse remains the 1.5T Hi4 plug-in hybrid system, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery. The engine packs a punch with 115 kW (154 hp) and a top speed of 190 km/h. The battery capacities vary, offering pure electric ranges from 103 km to 191 km, and corresponding curb weights that cater to different preferences.
While we eagerly await the reveal of the electric motor specs, the Haval Raptor Plus already promises a premium experience with its standard panoramic sunroof. Optional features include lidar, side and rear cameras, side steps, and wheel eyebrow studs, allowing buyers to customize their ride.
